OUR CORE CURRICULUM

ARABIC

Students will learn the different parts of speech and the cultural aspects that are an integral part of the language. Students will be assessed using a variety of methods including tests, speeches, presentations, and debates. Upon the completion of these courses, students will be able to carry simple Arabic conversations and both read and write in an educated manner.

ENGLISH

Students will learn about theme, tone, purpose, effective language, and language structure. Students will have mastered crucial English skills, such as critical thinking and literature analysis. The courses will test students’ ability to effectively present, write and read with an emphasis on language for work.

MANDARIN

Students will learn the different parts of speech and the cultural aspects that are an integral part of the language. Students will be assessed using a variety of methods including tests, speeches, presentations, and debates. Upon the completion of these courses, students will be able to carry simple Mandarin conversations and both read and write in an educated manner.

MATH

Students will learn and apply algebraic and geometric concepts to a variety of tasks. Students will have mastered the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on whole numbers, integers, fractions, mixed numbers, and decimal numbers. Upon the completion of each course, students will be able to problem solve in the specific course, including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Calculus.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AND MARKETING

In the International Business Management & Marketing Academy, students will learn concepts and practices that prepare them for export operations, sales, distribution, international banking and other aspects of international business. In addition to these critical, 'applied skills', students will develop an international perspective and empathy for different cultures. The courses will provide general management theory and practice, as well as critical knowledge in accounting, marketing, purchasing, economic and legal aspects of the modern business world.

Our program provides students with an understanding of the welding industry’s requirements for employment, and helps them to acquire entry-level job skills. In addition to a strong background in theory, hands-on experience is emphasized. This program prepares students to be certified by the American Welding Society (AWS).

Students will learn how to use dslrs and various lenses and their focal lengths to create videos. They will learn about depth of field and how it can be used to compose a scene. Other aspects of the program will include lighting and video editing.

Students will learn about audio signal flow and microphones, the types of microphones and their applications as well as how to create recordings on their own using both acoustic and electronic instruments. Other aspects of the program will include sound design (include recording for sfx); projects will be used in cooperation with the video production program.

The Engineering Technology Academy provides the student with a variety of basic classes. Courses are offered in surveying, engineering drawing, statics, and electric circuits. In addition to engineering courses, students may also complete the appropriate math and general education coursework.

The Computer Science – Coding Academy covers a variety of courses ranging from core computer science to a variety of branch fields of computer science. This program provides the student with the basic skills required of core computer science.
