BUDGET
International Career Academies High School's budget is disproportionately heavily focused on teacher pay, our belief is that high wages for teachers will encourage higher quality teacher to become members of our staff 65 -100K. Our staff is small, comprising 11 teachers at the Riverside campus. The curriculum will be sponsored by local and national business in order to make the curriculum more cost effective and more importantly relevant to the types of careers students will pursue post high school.
Funding will be provided in part with Attendance daily average (ADA) which is approximately $9,735 per student. The school will be comprised predominantly of low socio-economic and English as a second language students. The high concentration will boost the ADA to approximately $11,00 per student (via Alta Vista budget information). With a budget of 2.5 million, and a cap of 220 students, International Career Academies HS will make its budget on ADA alone. The School has partnered with local and worldwide innovative companies like Honda, Codeacademy, Cisco, JBL, and others.
Funding will also be provided by local partners and through grants. International Career Academies HS has one part-time grant writer with grants expected to range from $500 to $20,00 per grant, generating approximately $50,000 per year. Funding will also be provided by the Credit Enhancement for Charter School Facilities Program, which provides funding to charter schools to help pay for facilities (approximately 270K). The Career Technical Education Incentive Grant Program (CTEIG) provides matching funding to career focused schools. CTEIG will provide $1.00 for every $1.50 locally funded (this is before ADA). The Tech-Prep Demonstration Program will provide an additional 550K per year.
The schools outside of the US have similar local funding and are affiliated, but not directly part of International Career Academies HS, therefore International Career Academies HS does not provide funding and budget allocation for those schools.
